Community Gatherings

Not only is the Inn a welcoming place to stay for our visitors, it's a place of community enrichment and togetherness.

Mending Mondays is offered by the nonprofit community group Court of Crows in the Inn's dining room and kitchen on the last Monday of every month. Stop by the Inn any time between 2pm-6pm to have an item mended, pick up a quick button or patch for your mending at home, donate damaged/unwanted items to the program, or just stop in, grab a snack, and visit a while!

We would love to host book club meetings, topical talks, or hobby groups. If you'd like to host a community enrichment event or group, please contact our guest services manager.

Themed Weekends

We love a good "theme" at the Recess Inn. Gather your loved ones and friends for a weekend away. Enjoy your days relaxing or exploring our area (themed suggestions available), and come back to the Inn for a special dinner and evening programming. Examples: Missouri Wines, Quilting, Railroad Enthusiasts, etc. Do you have a themed weekend idea? Share it with us!
