Meet Michael, a West Virginia native who’s made his home-away-from-home in the charming community of Ethel, Missouri, thanks to his wife, Samantha Hogenson Bray. Together, they run Recess Inn Bed & Breakfast, where Michael keeps the tech and finances in check, helping Samantha turn big dreams into real plans. Michael’s love for the outdoors and appreciation of history pairs perfectly with his knack for strategy and analytics—skills that make him a natural fit for both the Inn and his day job.

Michael is a recognized leader in software engineering, IT modernization, and digital transformation. His experience spans a range of client missions, always finding innovate ways to help his clients meet their goals.

Michael holds a B.S. in computer engineering from the University of Virginia—adding to the unique skill set that he brings to the table every day.

Michael lives in Parkville, MO, with Samantha and their son, Jordan. You may find him at the Inn, shampooing the carpets, getting someone's calendar to sync with their phone, or chasing the toddler.
