Meet Hanna, the Recess Inn's onsite innkeeper! Hanna is the friendly voice on the other end of the phone. You'll find her waiting to welcome you, making and serving breakfast, doing various design projects, managing an event, or leading a workshop. A true daughter of Ethel, Hanna's love for and knowledge of our community is vast. She'll be happy to share her local recommendations with you and chat about life here.

Hanna was a child here when the old Ethel School was renovated to be the Recess Inn by Ralph and Sandy Clark. She spent many happy hour at the Inn playing, helping out, and learning from Sandy.

Prior to joining the staff, Hanna was a special event coordinator and florist for Tiger Garden at the University of Missouri. Guests of the Inn will undoubtedly notice her love of flowers and plants. I Hanna has been a professional designer for over 10 years, between the Midwest and East Coast, with many unique experiences. In 2019, she was invited to join AIFD (American Institute of Floral Designers), one of the highest accreditations in the industry. When she's not at the Inn or spending time with her family, she can usually be found walking with her pup Marigold, thrifting, crafting, or paddle boarding.
